UPDATE 17/01/2017 - Version 8.35 released !

Hi everyone,

today the [DS]Desert Storm Scripter Team is proud to announce that we have released the Version 8.35 of the Desert Storm Gamemode/Forum. Below you will find the exact description of the current Server Updates:

Section 1 : Server Ingame Updates:


Update #1 - Round System





The Round System is by far the greatest Gamemplay Update since the introduction of STPU Careers.

Every Team gets a certain amount of tickets every time a new round starts.

The aim of every team is to get the enemy's tickets down to 0. Each time a player dies his team will get -1 Tickets.

Yet there are still some other ways to fasten this process:

--> Conquer a Zone - -5 Tickets for the enemy team
--> Sink the Terro Ship - -4 Tickets for Terrorists
--> Explode C4 in Army Base - -3 Tickets for Army
--> Kill the enemy General - -3 Tickets for the enemy team

Furthermore, every round has its own statistic. You can use either /statistic or /stat to view your own statistic for the round,
or you can press Numpad 6 to see the statistic of your whole team during that round !

After every round, there is a cooldown of 30 seconds. During this time you can chill and check the statistic for your team.

In the cooldown time, all commands except /changeteam are disabled ! If you want to change team for the next round, you can simply type /changeteam while waiting. Then you will be taken back to Team Selection before the round starts !

For further ingame information you can use /roundinfo !


Update #2 - Headshots





The Headshot Update was suggested by many players and therefore we decided to create a modified Headshot Script:

A Shot in the Head with a Sniper Rifle will cause 50 damage to the enemy. It goes straight through any armor and therefore only affects the health of a player.

Two Shots in the head will kill a player instantly. A player will also get killed by only one shot if he has less than 50 HP left !


Update #3 - UAV Vehicles





This is just a small update, adding 5 Vehicles to the UAV Base.

In case you spawn there, you can now use vehicles as well and don't need to stay on-foot !



Update #4 - UAV Spawn Bug [FIX]





The Update also fixes the annoying Spawn Bug in UAV.

Sometimes when you spawned in UAV Base, you feel through the ground and got stuck. This problem is past now !



Update #5 - Various Updates

- Modified some Raction Tests

- Added Minigun Explanation when entering a Minigun

- Added /changeteam ingame command (change team without getting killed)

- Fixed several minor bugs !

-Re-added Anti Bomb Spam for Hydra and Rhino vehicles !


Section 2 : Forum Updates:


Update #1 - Game-State Widget


I've decided to add a Game State Widget to the Forum Home Site, so you can see who is online at the moment !

It also shows Server Statistics and other useful stuff !
