I have a problem

I have a problem with ping. Sometimes when I play on this server then my ping is lesss and sometimes my ping is too high.Whyis it? I am not downloading anything.
Today I got ping about 230 and then after 1 hour when i again log into the server then my ping was about 400. Why is it? I dont download anything. Same connection I used both times. So plz can you help why it happens??

No nothing happens.My internet working well then I try to download a file then I was getting same speed as I was getting earlier when my ping was 230. When I download my downloading speed was about 250 kbps and when after one hour when my ping was 400 then I again download but I was also getting same speed.

Storm same happens to me.At night when I come my ping is 400 -.- and at day time its 230-320.
It is because when more the number of people are on in the network our internet speed decreases i.e ping increases.
As simple as that!
